Scenic Wellington, in the Western Cape's winelands not too far from Cape Town, is where the Boland Cavaliers play their rugby. Known as one of the smaller unions in South African rugby, many Boland teams have defeated some of their more illustrious counterparts in the mud at the Boland Stadium in Wellington through the years. Playing in black with gold trim, Boland remains one of the strong feeder unions in South Africa, contributing lots of talented players from a host of good schools in the area.
