|Playing Position: Wing/Fullback |
Since joining Sarances from Leeds Tykes in 2004, Dan Scarbrough has established himself as a potent attacking weapon, leading the try scoring for the 2005/06 season.
A series of injuries reduced his first team appearances to just eight in that first season, but he played 25 times for the Men In Black last season at both wing and full back and was beginning to show the form that made him one of Leeds Tykes most prolific try scorers.
The 28-year-old was National Division One leading try scorer with Wakefield for two seasons before moving to Leeds where he continued his scoring exploits – finishing second in the list of top scorers in the 2001/02 season. That earned him a call-up to the England A side for the final two matches of that season. In 2003 he played in all the A matches, also winning his only Test cap against Wales in that year's Six Nations.
A member of the wider England squad for the 2003 World Cup preparations, he missed out in the final cut for the tournament but still has international ambitions and will be hoping that the England Saxons will provide the springboard he needs to return to Test rugby.
