Fly-half Parks looks set to start Scotland’s opener against France on February 3, having established himself at No.10 despite recent competition from Chris Paterson. The Australia-born 29-year-old earned his first cap for Scotland as a replacement in the RBS 6 Nations game against Wales in 2004. He qualifies through his maternal grandfather, who was born in Ayrshire, and was voted Scotland’s players’ player of the World Cup.
