This young tight forward got his first chance in Vodacom Super Rugby as a replacement prop in 2011 on tour Down Under in a match against the Reds in Brisbane as an understudy to WP Nel. He has since established himself as one of the best upcoming tigthhead props in South Africa, anchoring the Toyota Cheetahs' scrum in 2013 with much success.
