The man tasked with filling Victor Matfield’s boots at the Vodacom Bulls has underlined his great potential and was rewarded with his Springbok debut against England in June 2012. Juandré Kruger is great at lineout time - on the entire Castle Outgoing Tour at the end of 2012 the Springboks lost only one lineout, and that was because of a slow throw-in - and also carries the ball well while getting through a heap of work in general play. He played club rugby in England for Northampton in 2009 before returning to Pretoria, where he cemented his place in the second row.
