Notes: As a player Francois played continuously for over 20 years in the old SARU non-racial competition. He played for 15 years with the Continuity Province and 8 years for Boland. From 1988 to 1991 he was Bolands Captain. Off the field, in 1996 Francois became a National Selector. That same year he toured as a Selector with the South Africa A tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland. In 1997 Francois toured as a Selector with the Springbok team to New Zealand and Australia for the Winfield Tri-Nations series.
