Club: Leeds Tykes Gavin Kerr won his first cap for Scotland when he came on as a second-half substitute for Bruce Douglas in the opening RBS Six Nations Championship match against Ireland in February 2003 and the pattern was repeated against France, Wales and England. Gavin has represented Scotland at U18, U19 and U21 level and competed in the FIRA World Junior Championships when it was held in Italy in 1996. He was educated at Berwick County High School and played his club rugby at Berwick before moving to Jed-Forest at the age of 18. He also represented the Scottish Borders at all age grade levels as well as the senior side for one year. After five years at Riverside Park he moved to Liverpool club Calby before joining Leeds Tykes halfway through season 2001/2002, along with Carl Hogg. He came on as a replacement in Scotland A's 40-35 win over Argentina and again in the 6-6 draw with England A and the 30-29 win against Italy A in season 2001-02. He made his first start for the A team against Ireland in March 2002 and was introduced from the bench for the subsequent match against France A, before returning to the starting XV against Wales A. In November 2002 he started for Scotland A against Fiji in their 45-29 win at Bridgehaugh. 2008 - Scotland 6Nations Squad
