| BRUCE DOUGLAS (The Borders) Prop. Born: 10.2.80 in Edinburgh. 5ft 11½ in, 17st 10lbs. Bruce Andrew Ferguson Douglas won his first cap for Scotland in the 37-10 win against Romania last Saturday, reward for his decision to join The Borders in their debut season after he had completed his contract with NEC Harlequins. He played in all three Scotland midweek victories in the 2002 summer tour of North America. Earlier in his career he had moved to ‘Quins from Heriot’s FP and made his first XV debut for them in the Heineken Cup game in Castres in November 2001. He has represented Scottish Schools, Scottish Districts and Scotland at Under 16, Under 18, Under 19 and Under 21 levels. He played in the U19 Junior World Championship victory against England in 1999 and for Scotland U21 in the Southern Hemisphere Alliance tournament in New Zealand in 2000.
