Nikki Walker won his first cap for Scotland against Romania, in November 2002 reward for running in 11 tries for The Borders so far this season. He was among Scotland’s try scorers in their 38-8 win against Canada East in the opening match of their 2002 North American tour. Walker also played in the victories against Canada West and the USA A team. He scored the decisive try to enable his club, Hawick, to win the 2002 BT Cellnet Cup Final and complete the cup and league double. Walker, who attended Hawick High School, has represented Scottish Borders at under-16, under-18 and under-19 and Scotland at under-18, under-19 and under-21.
