Notes: Nigel started off playing soccer, only making the switch to rugby when he was about 12. He first came to the attention of National Sevens selectors during the Winfield Club Sevens where he stood out for his side Northerns RFC. Shortly afterwards Nigel was selected for the Punte DEl Este Sevens in Uruguay earlier this year where he had an outstanding tournament leading to his selection for Hong Kong. When hes not playing rugby Nigel works as a boat builder in Cape Town, helping to create speedboats and yachts, some of which have sailed in the famous Cape To Rio race.
