Chester is on of the most popular of all the Springboks, winning fans on the field with his high work rate and off the field through his work in development rugby. He has become an inspiration to rugby players in the under-privileged areas of South Africa. Quiet and modest by nature, Williams is an ideal role model. A RWC winner in 1995, Williams also played for and coached the Springbok Sevens team. He overcame serious injuries late in his career and played his last Test for the Springboks in 2000 after making his debut in 1993.
