Chris Le Roux captained the Blue Bulls to the Vodacom Cup title in 2001 and retained the captaincy for the Currie Cup. Highly regarded by coach Heyneke Meyer, he has been rewarded with captaincy of the Bulls in his first season of Super 12 rugby and his leadership and motivational skills could prove crucial for the young Bulls side. He represented the Blue Bulls at Craven Week level from 1995-97 and was chosen in the SA Schools side in 1996 and 1997 as captain. SA under-19, under-21 and under-23 representation followed. A former student of Waterkloof High School, he enjoys golf and lists Andre Venter as his role model.
