| Nicknamed the "Rolls Royce" of fullbacks, Andre Joubert played a vital role in the Rugby World Cup in 1995, starting the epic final against NZ with a broken hand. Safe under the high ball with a massive left boot, Joubert also knew just when to join the backline, often changing ordinary backline moves into points for the Boks, Sharks and Cheetahs. He was named SA Rugby Player of the Year in 1996 after being nominated for this prestigious award four times beforehand.
