Julian Barnard must be one of the most underrated players in South African rugby. At over two metres and 120kgs, the Boland lock was one of the biggest players in the Stormers squad this season. The 29-year-old Barnard matriculated at Plumstead High School in 1990 and represented Western Province at the Craven Week that year. When he is not out winning lineout balls or taking kickoffs, he can be found on the golf course as a greenkeeper.
