SWD EAGLES
Founded 1899
Home Ground: Outeniqua Park
Outeniqua Park in George, home base for the SWD Eagles, must be one of the most picturesque rugby grounds in the world. However, many visiting sides have left the Garden Route in the Southern Cape not noticing the pretty surroundings, as the Eagles has an uncanny ability to soar over their rivals at home. The Eagles are known for their green, white and black colours. SWD successfully hosted the IRB Sevens from 2001 to 2010 and is starting the innovative international Seven’s Premier League (7’PL) in 2012.
