Women's interprovincial semi-finals decided

SWD and the Blue Bulls will host the two semi-finals in the women's interprovincial series this weekend after finishing top of their respective groups in Section A.

SWD ended the league phase of the competition unbeaten and beat Free State in their last match of regular season last weekend, by 25-3, which saw them clinch a full house of 20 log points.

The Blue Bulls managed a similar feat after they beat Western Province by 22-10 in Cape Town last weekend to also finish on the maximum of 20 log points.

With Free State and WP losing this weekend, KZN and Eastern Province advanced to the semi-finals. Both these teams had byes last weekend.

SWD will host EP in an Eastern Cape derby at 17:15 on Saturday, 3 September at Outeniqua Park, while KZN have to travel to Pretoria to face the Blues Bulls (kick-off at 19:00 at Loftus B-field in Pretoria on Friday, 2 September).
