Wepener to front up for Lions
March 20, 2014
Lions head coach Johan Ackermann has named his 23-man team and opted for consistency, making just one change to his starting XV to face the Reds at Ellis Park on Saturday evening.

Ackermann has named Willie Wepener to start in place of the injured Robbie Coetzee at hooker.

Meanwhile, on the bench, Mark Pretorius comes up into the squad after performing well in the junior ranks.

He will provide cover at hooker. Another promising junior figure, Stephan de Wit, will also look to earn his first Vodacom Super Rugby as he replaces Warwick Tecklenburg, who failed a concussion test this week.

Additionally, utility back Lionel Mapoe has recovered from his hamstring strain and will also provide cover on the bench.

The match will kick off at 17h05.
