Your Question: I am a Bulls supporter. Morne steyn & Pierre Spies way off form. Would you look at blooding Johan Goosen or and Elton Jantjies! God bless you as you strive to make our nation proud! - Victor Oakes

Heyneke answers: Hi Victor - I would not have selected Elton if I didn't think he can do the job for us and I have a very high regard for Goosen, but he is still out injured. Morne is a class player and he knows what he has to do to get back to the top - his general play has actually been quite good and I'm sure we'll see the old Morne back soon! Regarding Pierre - he's played 50 Tests and is very experienced, but also remember that Duane Vermeulen is injured and Ryan Kankowski is not available as he's now playing club rugby in Japan.

Your Question: What type of rugby will the books be playing in the future? - Garreth Ferreira

Heyneke answers: I've always said there are only two kinds of rugby - winning rugby and losing rugby. We will aim to play winning rugby by using our typical South African strenghts and keeping things simple rather than trying to complicate matters.

Your Question: Heineke gaan jy spelers kies wat op vorm is of hou by groep spelers wat nie so goed gevaar het in Super 15 reeks nie!,bv die Bokke in Blou Bul span wat nie op vorm is nie? - Sakkie Pretorius

Your Question: Hi Heyneke Pre-isolation we were neck and neck with NZ. What do you think has led to their current superiority? Also, now that Morne Steyn has, since 2010, proved himself to be nothing but a flyhalf who used to be able to kick, who do you see as our starting 10 for the Rugby Championship? Also, 8th man surely can't be Spies, can it? - Wes

Heyneke answers: It's tough to compare us with New Zealand at the moment - they've had the same coaching staff for eight years now and Steve Hansen is now their head coach, while we just started. And we've not played them this year. In the last eight years though, we've won a fair share of the Tests against them. But they have good players and good structures and will always be a tough opponent. And on the team selection - at this stage I don't want to say too much, because the starting team will only be named next week.

Your Question: I am a fanatic Bulls supporter, but I think Morne Steyn had enough chances by now. Is'nt it time for you to pick a new flyhalve, especially youngsters like Elton Jantjies or Patrick Lambie for the test against Argentina and let Morne go try to find his form in the Currie Cup? - Louis Meyer

Heyneke answers: Well Louis, Elton is in the group and so is Patrick, who I also think can be a great fullback. Johan Goosen is injured, so that leaves us with very few options. As I've said, I've chatted to Morne and I have confidence in him - now it's up to him to show me he can regain his kicking form and make that step up that is needed.

Your Question: Hi Coach All the best for the upcoming tour, my question is based on the centre combinations Jean, Juan/Wynand. Is Juan not a more versatile player and why the selection of Wynand? Thank you. - Nick Filander

Heyneke answers: Hi Nick. Yes, Juan and Wynand are two different types of centres and after JP got injured, we decided to bring Juan in as I've always rated him - and now he gets a chance. That is how it works in rugby! Then we also still have Frans, who was great in the first two Tests against England. And as you would’ve seen, Wynand has not made the squad as he he has left for Japan.

Your Question: Good Day Coach My Question is this, with Morne Steyns drop in form would you not consider a gye like Peter Grant who had a great Super season with his kicking and ball in hand.I know that he is a bit older that Elton Jantjies but dont you think his form nas been better. Thanks for your time. - Iain Coetzee

Heyneke answers: Hi Iain - Peter did have a good season and his goal kicking has been superb, but I do think his tactical kicking out of hand can improve a bit and he also knows that. But he is also now in Japan, which makes it very difficult for us to select him.

Your Question: We clearly lacked in the english series at the breakdown. Are we going to see Brussow in the Castle Championship, and if not, whats the plan? - Warren Hickinbotham

Heyneke answers: Our guys know they have to work harder at the breakdowns Warren and it's something we are paying a lot of attention to during our preparations. We were not so bad though but we do believe in continuous improvement. Heinrich is now injured and was not available for selection for this squad in any case, while Siya Kolisi was rewarded for continuous good performances.

Your Question: Hi Heyneke, i'm a Bulls supporter, but surely Morne Steyn and Pierre Spies are over their sell by dates..! Morne so 1 dimensional, and Spies needs some heart and aggresion..!Kanko surely the best Nmr 8 around..! Take this from a Bulls supporter, we are tired of a switch between 10 and 12.. there is an outside centre as well..! - Robert Botes

Heyneke answers: Thanks for the question Robert - I think you would've seen I've addressed this in some of the previous questions as well. Kanko's departure to Japan made it difficult for us to select him and I can assure you we tried very hard to make a plan. We believe in our structures of play and know when to take it wide.

Your Question: What do you intend doing in the interim about Morne Steyn who has lost form? This could cost us a match! - Jenni Vrey

Heyneke answers: Hi Jenni - I think I've covered this question. Thanks for sending it through.

Your Question: I just need to say well done Mr Meyer. You are real on the Right track. Bae Dankie hy het n mooi werk gedoen. - Thokozani

Heyneke answers: Thanks Thokozani, I really appreciate the kind words.

Your Question: Hi Coach, I don't always like how Stormers and Bulls play. Its not about it being boring. Its not effective against good teams and is terrible when chasing a game. Players often just go on autopilot kicking mode instead reading whats in front of them. They have become too predictable, good teams know what they are going to get and prepare well. Is it just me or have you noticed it too? - CJ

Heyneke answers: Thanks CJ - I've always said simple rugby is the best rugby, but then your execution has to be spot on. I hate it when teams kick the ball away, you always have to have a plan to get it back or use it to gain territory, so in that light, we'll keep on using the boot when necessary, but if it's on, the players know they have to play and score.
