Your Question: Where can we get some help for a small rugby club for practice facillities it cost us a R1000 a month just for practice in town. frederick wawini

SARU ANSWERS: Perhaps you should contact your local department of sports and recreation or rugby union to see if they can’t help you to organise a shared ground with another club, Frederic?

Your Question: Are we gonna rotate this year or just burn players out. Eg Jannie dup 35 games, we have no depth at no 3, yet our prize player must have aged 3 yrs in 2012. J div forced to play in CC match straight after tests. Just crazy and short sighted ! – Xerxes

SARU ANSWERS: Xerxes, player welfare is something that is very important to everyone involved in South African rugby and we can assure you that we are looking at ways of prolonging the careers of our top players.

Your Question: Why dont we have bok A team tours ie on end of yr tour, it would cut out the frustration of squad players who for a month carry tackle bags & dont even get bench spot & hence build combos for future or in case of injuries in 1st team? – Lesley

SARU ANSWERS: There are a lot of logistical reasons why those kind of tours don’t happen anymore Lesley, but it’s a valid point that we need to get more players exposure at the top levels of the game.

Your Question: Sir Allister' what is wrong , i hope we wont regret the Elton Jantjies move, is daar niemand in die kamp wat kan skop nie. What about somebody fresh, we cant save everbody from the Lions camp. We should have won the game against the bulls, can you please tell Elton this is THE STORMERS not the lions. – Desmond Petersen

SARU ANSWERS: This question should rather go to the Stormers Desmond, but thanks for the interaction. Hope the Stormers make you proud this weekend!

Your Question: Why doesnt saru help the smaller unions ie pump some into the Cheetahs? – Paul

SARU ANSWERS: Paul, all 14 of the provincial unions are entitled to financial allocations from SARU, including the Cheetahs.

Your Question: What is being done to ensure players don't burn out, considering they are expected to play more matches than ever before? Why hasn't central contracting been in place since seeing the benefits it's had on NZ rugby? – Wes

SARU ANSWERS: See our answer to Xerxes, Wes.

Your Question: What action, if any, will be taken against the Super Kings for misrepresenting their motivation for being allowed to play in the Super Rugby competition. Their motivation at the time was for transformation yet they have fewer players of colour than any of the other teams. - Richard Aytoun

SARU ANSWERS: We trust the franchises will do what is in the best interests for them and rugby in South Africa and can’t interfere. Remember Richard, it’s not only about numbers on the field – transformation goes much further than that.
